Contacting Your Local Sands Group

Here at North Herts Sands, we have dedicated Befrienders in the local area who you can talk to on the phone, by email, by Facebook Messenger (through our Facebook group) or at monthly support meetings. Our Befrienders have all lost a baby at some stage and due to different reasons. They are trained to listen and give advice when needed and to deal with every scenario from a miscarriage, termination, still birth or neonatal death. They can offer support to the whole family not just the parents. Sands will always be here for you as long as you need them. You may feel that you cannot talk to them straight away, so whenever you are ready then Sands are here for you.

North Herts Sands Facebook Group

North Herts Sands also has a Facebook group, where you can find out about support group times, local events, or post something you would like to share. You should be able to find it by searching on Facebook for 'North Herts Sands', clicking on the Facebook icon at the bottom of this page or by going to: www.facebook.com/groups/northhertssands

We hope this group will provide a space for people from the North Herts area (Stevenage, Hitchin, Letchworth, Baldock etc.) to discuss issues and feelings surrounding their loss and share related items of interest. We will also post any news relating to North Herts Sands, such as memorial service and support meeting dates.

Please feel free to invite others in the area who are affected by stillbirth and neonatal death to the group. (As it is a closed group, the administrators will then need to approve posts, so please bear with us if your post does not appear immediately.)
